ー The subtitle is "Creating Space," chosen in the hope that almost ten years on from the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, the spaces/blanks in the landscape created by a disaster still very fresh in our minds, and the time blank experienced during COVID-19 lockdowns, have encouraged us to reconsider what is truly important, and opened the door to a new era.
The Challenge
Understanding the idea behind, I challenged myself to redesign the poster with 2 versions.
Version I is using graphic illustration only. Version II is including photographs of the artworks.
I tried to depict it in different style while commiting to the same concept for both version.
My Redesign
For the concept, I want to choose something relating to the door to a new era as mentioned.
So I chose the "Light", which is the representation of hope and a bright future.
Artists' names should be highlighted as an important part so I put them inside the light.
